Żory attracts visitors with entertainment, fascinates with history, and leaves a lasting impression with its unique character. Discover how you can spend your free time here.

Żory is one of the oldest cities in the Silesia region. In the past, it was located on an important trade route connecting Lesser Poland with Silesia, serving as both a transportation and defensive center. Despite numerous fires and wars throughout history, the city has survived and continues to thrive today.

Żory is a city where people truly want to live. It stands out not only in Silesia but also across Poland because its population continues to grow. The city offers excellent connections both to the Upper Silesian metropolitan area — including Katowice, Zabrze, and Tychy — as well as to the beautiful mountain destinations of Wisła and Ustroń.

However, there is no need to leave Żory to relax or enjoy your free time — and this is one of the reasons why residents appreciate living here so much.
